Blockchain - Associate Smart Contract Auditor

Vantage Point is an offensive security specialist in both Web 2 and Web 3 space. Vantage Point Blockchain specializes in Web 3 security such as smart contract audits to provide assurance on the security aspect of decentralized applications and underlying infrastructure. We employ the same techniques as malicious attackers to identify and report security flaws and weaknesses in our clients business critical systems or applications, so they no longer present a risk to the business or the protocol.

Role Purpose:

The Associate Smart Contract Auditor assists in audits of smart contracts based on best practices and internal standards so that issues in smart contract logic can be identified and remediated prior to deployment. As the auditor for smart contracts, he/she is expected to present findings and vulnerabilities to the client and recommend possible ways to remediate identified issues based on the context.

Role Outcomes:

  • Identify flaws and/or risks in logic with critical thinking
  • Articulate in complex concepts with clarity
  • Communicate updates and findings during the audit to the client in a professional manner

Role Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients to make an audit a collaborative experience for clients
  • Provide professional response to clients technical queries
  • Have good understanding of the blockchain and Web 3 concepts such as DeFi, DAO and draw on expertise to provide clients with remediation options for any findings identified
  • Conduct thorough audits based on internal methodologies and industry best practices to ensure the quality of audit
  • Constantly learn and update domain expertise to provide clients of new attack vectors and best practices
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base, audit tools and standards
  • Work with team members to make an audit a collaborative experience
  • Manage the audit and ensure progress are in line with the agreed timeline
Associate Smart Contract Auditor:
  • Review smart contracts for the top decentralized applications before they get launched and present findings and vulnerabilities that the protocol can have to the client.
  • Team up with other auditors and review code line by line and try to hack it.
  • Conduct open-ended research around cutting edge blockchain technologies
  • Paid time to conduct research and contribute to Vantage Points projects and knowledge base
Reporting and Remediation:
  • Ensure the quality and the timely delivery of the reviewing smart contracts.
  • Be able to effectively work and team up with other auditors/senior auditors.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proficiency and fluency in English is essential

Role Information:

Reports to: Principal / Senior Smart Contract Auditor

Hours: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Language: Business proficiency and fluency in English

Location: Primarily based in our Singapore office but may be required to travel occasionally to our other business locations.
