Job summary

We're looking for an Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical laboratory services. If you have a diploma or degree in Biomedical Science (or a related field), we’d love to hear from you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct serological testing procedures (IFA) including sample handling and storage as well as reporting of results.
  • Develops and validates enhancements to existing processes, including lab automation, improved workflows, and new diagnostic assays.
  • Performs cell culture and manufacturing of IVD test kits. (On-the-job training will be provided)
  • Ensures biosafety practices are strictly adhered to during the handling of potentially infectious biological samples.
  • Ensures all tests are performed accurately in a timely and safe fashion.
  • Ensures regular maintenance of all equipment and inventory, oversees purchase of consumables and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies, including laboratory cleaning and waste disposal.
  • Oversees and performs laboratory quality assurance duties such as verification of quality control standards and conducting basic performance checking tests.
  • Performs daily administrative operations such as data entry into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and report generation.
  • Develops SOPs, lab forms, and work instructions.
  • Monitors and maintains compliance with CAP and MOH HCSA regulations.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager and/or the Management.
Job Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Successfully conducts routine clinical lab testing in a safe and timely manner, reviews results, leads validation studies, manages teams, rosters manpower and other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager and/or the Management.
  • Open to learn and be involved in Research & Development and Manufacturing activities.
  • Experience with cell culture, immunofluorescence assay (IFA), and molecular diagnostics will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with CAP and MOH HCSA audits and guidelines will be an added advantage.
