Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services with deep expertise in banking consulting.
  • Experience in project management or as Engagement Manager with a top-tier firm.
  • Knowledge of emerging markets, preferably in Asia, Africa, or Middle East.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the strategic agenda of the Group and work with senior stakeholders.
  • Own key analyses/modules of project delivery related to market trends.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Structuring issue-based work plans, developing hypotheses, driving parts of strategy storyline.
  • Taking ownership of work-streams or projects, designing and conducting analyses of internal and external data, doing secondary research, synthesising conclusions, making presentations.
  • Engaging and discussing key business issues with business / functional stakeholders.
  • Contributing to team initiatives.

Your level of responsibility will be determined by demonstrated skills and limited only by your ability and potential. You may have the opportunity to play an expanded leadership role on the team, growing into a more senior role after 2-3 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
  • As an Associate Director within the team you will have the opportunity to help shape the strategic agenda of the Group, working closely with the most senior stakeholders in the bank. Our work is broad ranging; we help the Board and top management to understand key industry trends and their implications, and also work directly with the leadership teams in business segments, geographies and functions to define their strategic priorities and implementation plans.
Business
  • The work is project based, and as an Associate Director you will work closely with the Directors / Managing Directors within the team owning key analyses / modules of a project.
Key Stakeholders
  • Group MT, Group MT-1 to Group MT-3, across all businesses, functions and regions
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services with deep expertise in banking consulting and innovation driven transformations.
  • Banking consulting experience with a top tier firm and/or with strategy functions of leading banks as project manager or Engagement Manager
  • Emerging markets knowledge or experience preferred (especially in Asia, Africa or Middle East)
  • Comfortable working in a relatively unstructured, project-based and multi-cultural environment
  • Engage senior stakeholders across the bank on projects
