Associate Director - Japan Global Solutions, Credit Solutions

What the day will look like
  • Play a key part in delivering team New Business budget
  • Achieve team goals of growth, profitability & increasing market share in Japanese business
  • Achieve own personal Business Development budget as assigned annually
  • Develop and maintain own leads and opportunities; penetrate existing business; cross sell within Aon
  • Facilitate smooth handover of Closed Won business to account managers when needed
  • Manage existing Japanese accounts
  • Help identify and implement regional Japanese business sales strategies, initiatives & events in liaison with JGS, Head of Dept, Team Sales & Marketing Head, Regional Business Development Director, Sales & Marketing team, Marketing Dept and/or others as required
  • Advise & negotiate with clients, underwriters and stakeholders
  • Accurate & timely maintenance of systems, billings and data entry; reporting & forecasting
  • Deliver a consistently high and reliable service standard
  • Know, understand and accurately utilize the products and insurers available in the market
  • Help identify, develop & implement efficient team operational sales & marketing processes
  • Support for more junior team members including train & advise to improve performance and development; lead by example; provide clear & accurate directions; share knowledge and information; be a team player
  • Build successful long term business relationships & professional network
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience in credit insurance broking or underwriting (or relevant adjacent professions including banking, law, consulting or accountancy)
  • Proficient with speaking and writing in Japanese
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to succinctly and credibly present complex information to small and large audiences
  • Ability and proven track record in developing and managing relationships with clients and insurers to influence decision making
  • Possess a growth mindset and a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • Self-directed individual with ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment
  • Enthusiastic about insurance solutions and genuinely interested in the credit insurance business and our clients.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and credit analysis
  • Ability to travel as required
