Job summary

A leading HR advisory company in Singapore is looking for an Assistant Tender Manager to assist in preparing and submitting tenders. Candidates must have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of tender management experience in the construction industry. Knowledge of electrical systems is preferred. The role involves tracking and monitoring tenders and preparing detailed pricing documents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Tender/Contract Manager in preparation and submission of Tenders.
  • Prepare and follow-up on Request for Quotations to ensure timely submission of tender data.
  • Prepare bill of quantities and carry out detailed breakdown pricing.

Assistant Tender Manager

Salary: $5,000 - $6,000 + $100 Mobile Allowance

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8.30am to 6pm)

Working Location: Toa Payoh (Braddell MRT)

Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in tender management role (construction industry – electrical for building).
  • Knowledge in HT LV, ELV systems, and ACMV / Fire systems is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Tender /Contract Manager in preparation and submission of Tenders.
  • List the scope of work and commercial requirements in order to determine the risks of the project.
  • Create Tender File in order to have proper tender management tracking and monitoring.
  • Prepare and follow-up on the Request for Quotations to suppliers/sub-cons in order to ensure tender costing and technical data to be submitted on time.
  • Collate price comparison, costing summary and technical proposal in order to prepare tender submission.
  • Study the addendum and/or corrigendum documents and update costing summary with technical proposal accordingly.
  • Prepare and update tender submission documents on time.
  • Maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner.
  • Prepare presentation slides necessary for the tender interviews.
  • Any other works/duties that are assigned by Superior.
  • Prepare plans and documents for quotations to suppliers that will be used as basis for pricing.
  • Obtains, compiles and evaluates quotations from the respective suppliers/vendors according to tender requirements.
  • Prepare bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, material sourcing, measuring and estimating materials and labour costing.
  • Carry out the detailed breakdown pricing.
  • Understanding of Tenders with respect to scope of work, pricing schedule and non-material requirements.
  • Attend onsite and consultants’ architects and associate consultants in the administration of projects.
