Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager. The role involves leading the QA/QC team, managing documentation, and ensuring quality standards in projects related to sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for planning, organizing QA/QC activities, conducting inspections, and preparing reports. This position is vital in maintaining project compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Manage & lead the QA/QC team and implement the Project Quality Plan.
• Prepare reports on QA/QC matters weekly and monthly.
• Plan and organize all project QA/QC activities.
• Ensure quality control documentation is compiled for as-built handover.
• Coordinate with division managers on quality issues.
• Distribute QA/QC documentation to subcontractors.
• Conduct material and site inspections.
• Conduct testing and commissioning inspections.
• Provide necessary training to the project team on quality assurance.
• Review and approve inspection and test programs.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Maintain project documentation per QMS requirements.
• Control non-conformance reports and corrective actions.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage & lead the QA/QC team and expertise to the overall Quality Management System, policies and standards to support proper and smooth execution of all Quality related Prepare, maintain, implement the Project Quality Plan
• Prepare weekly, monthly reports on QA/QC matters
• Plan, organize, implement all project QA/QC activities
• Ensure quality control documentation is compiled & competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer
• Coordinate with the division managers on all quality issues, coordinate and attend the QA/QC weekly meetings
• Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to subcontractors, if any
• Prepare, submit QA/QC documents, inspection forms
• Conduct material inspections, monitor delivery
• Conduct site inspections for all ongoing projects
• Conduct testing, commissioning inspections
• Conduct necessary training, meeting to project team on quality assurance, inspections, tests related issues
• Review and approve inspection and test programs
• Ensure the works performed is in accordance to project specification, contract requirement, approved construction drawings
• Study on site mockup installation, develop quality standards for acceptance
• Participate in internal and external audits when required
• Maintain project documentation in accordance to QMS requirements
• Control all non-conformance reports, raise report of any non-conformances and undertake remedial action
• Monitor corrective actions, process improvement
• Plan, conduct tests, inspections to achieved required QMS requirement

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication with 6+ years' experience
