Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in planning and executing projects. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Chemical or Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include developing workstream plans, monitoring project performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success. A valid driving licence is advantageous. The role offers a 5.5-day work week and requires adaptability for various tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive project success and continuous improvement.
  • Develop detailed workstream plans by gathering requirements, allocating resources, and consulting stakeholders to define clear deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, KPIs, budget, schedule, and risks, and obtain approvals for any deviations to maintain project alignment.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams and internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support project close-out activities by conducting post-implementation reviews, documenting lessons learnt, and preparing comprehensive handover materials.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by performing additional duties as assigned to support project and organisational goals.
Required competencies and certifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Chemical or any Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar project coordination or engineering role
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence (advantageous for site visits and project logistics)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications to support project documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player committed to delivering results with assertiveness and accountability
Other Information
  • Work schedule: 5.5-day work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Must be willing to work in the West region of Singapore.
