Responsibilities:
Operations & Production
- Assist the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day production processing, including thermal treatment, chemical leaching, milling, blending processes.
- Oversee and coordinate activities across production, engineering, logistics, and chemical leaching teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production output, recovery yields, and process efficiency to meet operational targets.
- Ensure materials are handled, processed, and stored in accordance with approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Support troubleshooting of process deviations and operational issues.
Safety, Health & Environment (S.H.E.)
- Enforce strict compliance with safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals and high-value material.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox meetings, inspections, and safety briefings.
Quality, Compliance & Accountability
- Ensure full traceability, accountability, and accurate documentation of materials.
- Verify inspections, sampling, testing, and weighing activities.
- Support internal, external, and customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and supervise Production Teams.
- Assist in manpower planning, shift scheduling, and task allocation.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance guidance to improve team competency and discipline.
- Act as the Operations Manager’s representative when required.
Inventory & Asset Control
- Monitor inventory levels of critical spares, work-in-progress, and finished jobs.
- Ensure secure handling, storage, and movement of high-value materials.
- Coordinate with logistics for material receipt, shipment and documentation accuracy.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and review operational, safety, and production reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve recovery rates, reduce losses, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Review and update SOPs and work instructions as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Safety-related certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Manufacturing industry.
- Prior supervisory or assistant management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Able to work in a regulated, high-value operational environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Remuneration:
- Basic salary: S$4,300 – S$4,800
- Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
- Company Transport / Transport Allowance ($120) if candidate manages own transport
- Sign-on Bonus (Terms & Conditions apply)
