JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Assistant Process Engineer (Sputtering Target) to join the VTFS Engineering team. The successful candidate will support senior process engineers in developing and improving processes that enable future generations of products. This role involves applying manufacturing, engineering, and technological principles to the development of new equipment, procedures, and production processes in alignment with organisational goals.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist engineers in developing and optimising production processes by applying engineering principles and techniques.
  2. Support senior engineers in new product development and process qualification activities.
  3. Contribute to cost calculations, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  4. Support project management activities, including documentation, timelines, and deliverables.
  5. Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical and project-related matters.
  6. Perform tasks related to SAP and NCC systems.
COMPETENCIES / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  1. Ability to conduct technical investigations and support equipment, process, and material development for emerging technologies and new product concepts.
  2. Understanding of productivity improvement methodologies, continuous improvement tools, and general industrial engineering practices.
  3. Familiarity with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
  4. Strong technical aptitude with excellent communication, organisational, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  5. Understanding of materials such as metals, alloys, ceramics, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  2. At least 1 year of working experience in a related field.
  3. Familiarity with SAP & NCC systems (SOM, part numbers, process flows).
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
