Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Engineer in Singapore. The successful candidate will prepare mechanical drawings for fire protection systems and assist with project documentation. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering and knowledge of AutoCAD. This role requires good communication skills and the willingness to work overtime. A salary range of SGD 3,500 - 4,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge or experience in fire protection systems is an advantage.
• Able to use AutoCAD or other drafting software.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Willing to handle both drafting and administrative duties.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends when required (off-in-lieu provided).

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical drawings and drafting for fire protection systems.
• Assist in updating and revising drawings based on site conditions.
• Support project documentation and administrative work.
• Coordinate with engineers and site personnel on technical matters.
• Assist in preparing material lists and basic calculations.
• Maintain proper filing of drawings and documents.
• Attend site meetings or inspections when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Management.

Job description

Position: Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Company: Fire Protection Solutions Provider for Commercial & Industrial Buildings

Location: Kallang Pudding Road

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
• Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm

(Occasionally may be required to work late or on Sundays; off day will be compensated accordingly.)

Salary: SGD $3,500 - $4,500

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical drawings and drafting for fire protection systems (e.g. sprinkler, hose reel, fire piping layout)
• Assist in updating and revising drawings based on site conditions and consultants’ comments
• Support project documentation, submissions, and administrative work
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and site personnel on technical matters
• Assist in preparing material lists, basic calculations, and technical records
• Maintain proper filing of drawings, documents, and correspondence
• Attend site meetings or inspections when required
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Management
