Job summary

A leading chemicals company in Singapore is looking for a Sales Executive to assist in planning and controlling regional sales activities. Responsibilities include managing relationships with distributors and customers, analyzing market trends, and supporting sales expansion of elastomer products. Applicants should possess a degree in a relevant discipline, have experience in trading or sales, and be proficient in Japanese. Qualifications

Job description

Reporting to Sales Manager, this position will assist in planning and controlling regional sale activities to achieve or exceed sales volume and targets.

Responsibilities
  • Assist, manage and develop existing and new trading houses and distributors as well as to develop and enhance relationships with key customers in the region
  • Assist to develop regional marketing activities and strategies by analysing market trends and competitors’ activities and pricings
  • Provide support on sales expansion of elastomer products and sales reports preparation
  • Support new business creation and expansion according to Company’s product portfolio in the region
  • Lead the planning, preparation and execution of direct and indirect marketing and sales activities such as in-house seminars, exhibitions, internal platform meetings and etc
  • Review sales division’s strategies regularly to correlate marketing activities towards achieving targeted sales results
  • Engage in regular internal discussions to manage key information for sales development.
  • Monitor and manage sales transactions including payments from customers and ensure transactions are made within limit
  • Provide mentorship to other sales members when required
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline with at least 3 years of trading or sales experience preferred
  • Diploma holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience may be considered
  • Highly self-motivated, independent and resourceful
  • Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Japanese required for liaising with Japan Headquarter and stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Frequent travelling is expected
