A logistics company in Singapore is looking for an Operations Manager to lead a team, enhance service performance for key accounts, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Job Description
  • Lead operations team, and continuously improve the service performance of key accounts
  • Build and manage relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders i.e. Sales, Trade compliance, Regional Land
  • Champion all Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Monitor and improve vendors’ performances through regular reporting and reviews
  • Key ops IC in internal and external audits
  • Supportive role to head of department
Specific Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the smooth running of operations and any escalations, and special Ops projects
  • Drive improvements to the processes and process discipline within the operations team, especially focusing on TMS, milestones and costs
  • Monitor and drive vendors’ service quality and performance
  • Support solutioning process for large RFQs
Skills required
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; good communication is critical.
  • Committed; organized and leads by example.
  • Prioritizes constantly especially with multiple demands, tight timelines and resources
  • Excellent MS Office expertise, especially in Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI is a plus.
  • Strong in Project Management and planning skills
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to set own agenda and work under own initiative
  • Understanding of local and cross border transportation is a plus
