Job summary

A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance manager to oversee all aspects of finance and accounting functions, lead and develop the finance team, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management, preferably within the healthcare sector. Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, financial reporting, grant management, investment matters and GST submission. Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, supervise and develop the finance team, including task allocation, performance reviews and skills development, ensuring high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor treasury functions to support effective cash flow planning.
  • Responsible for monthly management and detailed costing reports.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate and manage statutory audits, as well as oversee internal and external audit engagements.
  • Ensure timely renewal of hospital insurance policies.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, controls, and reporting accuracy within the finance function.
  • Other additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENT
  • Degree in Accounting or CPA or CA Singapore preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare or long-term care sector.
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly meticulous with strong attention to details and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in team management and development.
