Job description
What the role is:

You will be part of MDDI’s Communications and Engagement Division that strategises, develops, and drives engagement, communications, and outreach for key areas of the Ministry’s work to engage hearts and minds and build a thriving digital future for all. Reporting to a team lead, you will manage public enquiries, feedback and complaints management.

What you will be working on:

You will also support the Division to strategise, plan, and implement engagement initiatives to further MDDI’s objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with relevant departments, public service agencies and external vendors to respond and address public queries, complaints and feedback received through various channels in a timely, accurate, and empathetic manner.
  • Enhance MDDI’s feedback management system, which includes addressing system issues and improving processes, to ensure quality service standards are upheld.
  • Support the Division to develop and implement stakeholder engagement initiatives, involving businesses, sector leaders, and the community to gather feedback on MDDI’s work and build support for the Ministry's priorities.
  • Any other duties assigned, such as staffing MDDI’s Political Officer Holders (POHs) for events.
What we are looking for:
  • A degree in social sciences, mass communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in public feedback management, and/or stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with service innovation projects, including exploring digital tools and AI-assisted solutions will be an advantage.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain policies and technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Enjoy interacting with stakeholders to understand their perspectives and experiences.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
