Assistant HR Manager / HR Manager (Built Environment)

- As the business continues to grow, there is a need to strengthen HR capability to better support operational leaders and align people strategies with business and project priorities.
Role Overview
- This is an end-to-end HR role for a self-driven HR professional who can operate independently and a self starter with minimal supervision.
- This role is intended to uplift HR into a more strategic, business-partnering function, supporting stakeholder while ensuring strong HR governance.
Strategic HR & Stakeholder Partnering
- Partner closely with management, project directors, and site leaders to align HR strategies with project and business priorities
- Provide HR advisory support across multiple stakeholder with differing priorities, workforce needs, and constraints
- Support workforce planning, manpower deployment, and succession planning across projects
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and people-related risk
End-to-End HR Management
- Manage the full HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and offboarding
- Review, implement, and enhance HR policies, processes, and SOPs to support a project-based workforceEnsure compliance with local labour laws, statutory requirements, and industry regulations
- Work closely with project teams on manpower planning, mobilisation, and demobilisation
- Support performance, disciplinary, and grievance matters
- Balance operational urgency with consistent HR practices
HR Transformation & Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in existing HR practices and proactively drive improvements
- Support HR transformation initiatives as the organisation scales
- Implement practical HR frameworks that are fit-for-purpose for an engineering and project-driven business
Requirements
- Proven experience in an end-to-end HR role
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision or follow-up
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to align different priorities across projects
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
- Solid knowledge of local employment legislation and HR best practices
