Summary:

• Industry: Premier eye care specialist

• Salary up $10,000 + outlet profit/ incentive

• Office location: East (Ubi)

• 5-day work week, 9am to 6pm

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all company departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

• Oversee the performance of retail outlets, driving sales target achievement, profitability, and effective cost control.

• Drive retail operations and business development by managing relationships with shopping mall landlords, overseeing tenancy agreements, negotiating rentals, and evaluating store profitability.

• Manage operating budgets, costs, and resources, providing accurate forecasts to support sustainable business growth.

• Identify market opportunities and establish achievable sales targets, ensuring accountability and performance tracking.

• Revamp marketing strategies and lead talent acquisition to build high-performing teams aligned with business goals.

• Maintain a hands‑on management approach with strong attention to detail across all operational areas.

• Conduct regular store visits, including competitor outlets, to monitor market trends, pricing, promotions, and retail strategies.

• Oversee end‑to‑end retail operations, including staff supervision, training in product knowledge and customer service excellence, customer engagement, upselling techniques, issue resolution, retention initiatives, and store presentation standards.

• Develop and implement operational strategies focused on process improvement, efficiency, and long‑term sustainability.

• Foster a positive team culture by building morale and engagement across retail and office teams.

• Ensure retail excellence through prompt resolution of operational issues and implementation of corrective actions.

• Coach and mentor the operations team, providing guidance, regular feedback, and motivation to support continuous development.

• Participate in management meetings, consolidate reports, and provide strategic recommendations to drive market expansion.

• Prepare and present monthly reports covering operational performance, financial results, and competitive market insights.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated hands‑on leadership experience in optical retail management, overseeing multi‑brand product portfolios including lenses, frames, and contact lenses.

• Strong understanding of optical products, industry trends, and customer preferences.

• Professional certification in Optical Dispensing or Optometry will be an added advantage.
