Job summary

A leading maritime development firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support financial reporting and compliance for an SGX-listed group. The role involves managing finance operations, preparing financial statements, and liaising with auditors. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in finance and strong knowledge of SFRS and Singapore tax regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally in an SGX-listed or group finance environment.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

  • Assist in managing day-to-day finance operations and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with SFRS.
  • Support SGX-related reporting, announcements, and compliance checklists.
  • Handle GST and annual tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external service providers.

Job description

We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the finance function in accounting, reporting, and compliance matters for an SGX-listed group.

This role works closely with senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely compliance, and smooth finance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day finance operations and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with SFRS.
  • Support SGX-related reporting, announcements, and compliance checklists.
  • Handle GST and annual tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external service providers.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentation materials for board and shareholder meetings.
  • Perform other ad hoc finance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; professional accounting qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally in an SGX-listed or group finance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SFRS, Singapore tax/GST, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
