Job summary

A leading logistics company in Singapore seeks a Finance Manager to oversee Group consolidation financial reporting and budgeting. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy or Finance, with at least 3 years in accounting/audit, including 2 years in management. Experience with SAP or Oracle is vital, alongside strong interpersonal and analytical skills. The role involves preparing financial analyses and supporting audits while liaising with multiple stakeholders, offering a dynamic environment for growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the accounting/audit field.
  • At least 2 years of management experience or supervisory role.
  • Experience with cloud-based Finance solutions is preferred.
  • Prior shipping background is an advantage.

Job Description •Responsible for the Group consolidation financial reporting to ensure timely monthly closing and reporting.

  • Participate in prepare Annual Budget for Shipping Agency & Logistics BU
  • Perform variance analysis / commentary for monthly and year-to-date results comparing to budget and prior year results.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and monthly ledger reviews as well as handle month-end closing.
  • Analyze and formulate revenue improvement plan together with Finance Manager & Country Manager
  • Continuously evaluates group’s financial closing processes. Develops systems & procedures for improvements.
  • To monitor cash flow forecast and perform fund transfer to HQ according to schedule and guidelines.
  • Provide support for year-end audit and taxation activities.
  • Work with manager and company secretaries to prepare various subgroup Board meetings and resolutions.
  • Liaise with Corporate Secretarial in regards of corporate filings and returns are lodged with the ACRA as prescribed by the Companies Act.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly GST reports for Shipping Agency & Logistics BU.
  • Provide guidance to Account Executive / Assistant on accounting matters.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in restructuring the current Finance Team and re-engineering the current workflow.
  • To support any ad-hoc finance matters assigned

  • Job Requirement •Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent professional accountancy certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the accounting / audit field, with at least 2 years of management experience or supervision role
  • Experience in cloud-based Finance solutions such as SAP, Oracle or Cargo wise
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across various levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good decision-making, and analytical skills
