We are seeking a Assistant Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting of several entities, prepare and manage the consolidation of monthly group accounts, annual financial statements and related audit schedules for the group, and ensure robust corporate governance practices and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and provide guidance to the finance team in operational financial matters to ensure timely and accurate month- and year-end closing reporting, compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, legal and statutory requirements, including GST reporting.
- Review month-end and annual closing activities and reporting, including tracking and reporting variances by providing analysis and commentaries on each business unit/clinic/department performance.
- Be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financial functions for designated companies.
- Review the accounting transactions performed by the team (e.g., AR, AP, journal vouchers and fixed assets).
- Review the monthly audit schedules and clear reconciling items promptly.
- Review quarterly GST reports and reconciliation.
- Review AR invoices and the AR outstanding list and ensure prompt follow-up with clinics and operations on status.
- Manage working capital effectively by preparing a monthly cash flow projection.
- Consolidation of monthly group accounts, including preparation of annual financial statements and audit schedules for the group.
- Review monthly intercompany P&L elimination spreadsheet.
- Participate in stock take on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Liaise with clinics and the operations team to resolve operational and financial issues.
- Handle corporate tax compliance and statutory matters.
- Ensure that policies and procedures and limits of authority are adhered to and financial controls are in place.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- A recognized degree / ACCA in Accountancy Studies with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in overseeing the financial management and reporting activities of the company, including leading a finance team.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Oracle Fusion).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
