A leading healthcare organization in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director to manage fundraising strategy and donor relationships. The role requires at least 8 years of fundraising experience, and proven project management skills. Within NHG’s Advancement Office, the Assistant Director (AD) will effectively manage key fundraising processes including identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors, including philanthropists, corporations and foundations, in order to support NHG Health’s philanthropic ambitions by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships.
He/she will report to the Director, Advancement Office. He/she will support the Director in managing and executing NHG Health’s fundraising strategy, contribute directly in securing philanthropic support, and work collaboratively with leadership, clinicians and colleagues. In this role, he/she will build and manage a portfolio of Intermediate and Major Gift donors to NHG, in order to deliver on individual and team fundraising targets. He/she will be responsible for facilitating all phases of the gift cycle, including initiating contact, cultivating and moving potential donors to solicitation and closure.
He/she will also contribute to efforts in developing General Giving programmes both at HQ and in collaboration with institutions’ charity funds (including staff giving and needy patients’ initiatives), in partnership with NHG Fund team, the Advancement Office team as well as PHI charity fund teams.
Within this role, he/she will lead on creating NHG Health’s fundraising best practices / guidelines to be used with both internal and external stakeholders, and in setting up best practices for NHG Health’s fundraising operations at both Group Office and institutions’ charity funds.
He/she will manage a team responsible for NHG Group’s gift processing (inc. gift tracking and reporting) and stewardship activities, as well as administration and event support, ensuring a timely and satisfactory reporting to donors and stakeholders. In this aspect, he/she will support to oversee the preparation of management reports, budgets, and planning documents for the Advancement Office function (when required).
He/she will also serve as liaison for the Advancement Office’s engagements with other HQ corporate departments (e.g. Planning, Finance, Human Resource, Corporate Communications). With the aim of developing a flourishing fundraising community of practice, he/she is expected to contribute to capacity building within NHG Health (when required).
