Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated midweight Junior Art Director to join our dynamic creative team. In this role, you will contribute to craft thumb-stopping content across video, animation, and design, while thinking strategically about how it ladders up to brand narratives and social trends. A strong understanding of social media strategy and design skills are essential to create engaging, impactful content. You will report directly to the Creative Lead and work alongside a team dedicated to producing exceptional creative work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply social media strategies to create optimized content for different platforms.
  • Create, design engaging content and visuals across a variety of platforms, including short form video content, simple animations, digital, and print media.
  • Ensure the creative vision aligns with brand guidelines and meets the client’s objectives.
  • Work closely with the creative team to execute projects from concept through to production.
  • Present design ideas and concepts to internal teams and clients.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, etc.).
  • Good taste in motion, rhythm, and storytelling. Not just a designer who animates, but someone who understands visual pacing, sound choice, subtitle timing, etc.
  • Strong design skills with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Experience building content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and understanding what drives engagement natively on each.
  • Ability to take creative direction and feedback to improve the final product.
  • Experience in collaborating with other creatives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in an Art Director role, preferably in an agency or fast-paced environment.
