A local design consultancy in Singapore seeks a talented designer to create and maintain project drawings, assist with project development, and provide interior design consultations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in design software like AutoCAD and Revit, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job description

1. Drawing Creation & Maintenance

Create, update, and maintain project drawings, architectural working drawings, including shop, schematic, as-built, and technical drawings including detailed drawings for submission, tender, and construction purposes.

2. Project Support

Provide assistance in project design and development activities based on customer requirements.

Work with the Person In Charge (PIC) to develop project plans, ensuring budget and schedule adherence.

Propose effective design solutions to meet project goals and recommend improvements to existing designs.

3. Documentation & Quality Control

Develop design documentation, technical specifications, and other project-related documents as needed.

Oversee change orders, manage document filing activities, and ensure proper documentation.

Prepare and review rough sketches with the engineering team for accuracy.

4. Design & Technical Expertise

Prepare 2D & 3D design layouts, sketches, blueprints, and all other necessary drawings according to company standards and customer requirements.

Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.

Stay abreast of the latest developments in design technologies and techniques.

5. Interior Design Consultation

Advise clients on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, furnishings, equipment, and color coordination.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, V-Ray, Photoshop, Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
• Able to communicate in English is MUST and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision, and able to complete task with time given.
• Computer Knowledge in Microsoft Words, Excel, Power Point.

Immediate or short notice availability preferable.

Other Duties

Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
