Job summary

A leading architectural firm in Singapore seeks an Architect to assist in design coordination and project management. The role involves developing architectural designs, managing contractor schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates have a degree in Architecture and 3-7 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM. Excellent communication abilities are essential for maintaining stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Min 3-7 years relevant contractor experience in Design & Build projects.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Architect in coordinating design details between clients, consultants, and contractors to align architectural designs with project requirements, regulations, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop architectural designs, schedules, and construction plans
  • Manage architectural work scheduling, supervise and inspect all architectural work performed by sub-contractors according to specifications / drawings
  • Review project specifications, tender clarifications, and construction drawings to assist in contract and procurement management
  • Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community, and other external parties are developed and maintained
  • Support the Project Manager in all coordination work of civil, structural, architectural and NSC/Direct Contract works
  • Study drawings and coordinate architectural works with the consultants and sub-contractors to resolve any technical / site issues
  • Inform Project Director / Project Manager on any technical / site problems pertaining to architectural works
  • Prepare and coordinate on Green mark, quality management and CONQUAS assessment

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
  • Min 3-7 years relevant main contractor experience in Design & Build building project
  • Good knowledge of architectural specifications, Architectural & MEP coordination works and requirements
  • Possess strong leadership
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other relevant architectural software is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
