Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Operations Specialistwith strong expertise in Control-M administration, application deployment, automation, and production supportwithin enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with batch operations, DevOps toolchains, AWS cloud services, and ITIL processes. This role requires close collaboration with development teams, infrastructure teams, and global stakeholders to ensure stability, scalability, and reliability of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Application & Production Support

• Provide end-to-end support for production and UAT environments, ensuring high availability and SLA adherence.
• Triaging and resolving complex application, infrastructure, and batch-related issues across regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas).
• Lead incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.
• Act as escalation point for high-priority incidents, performing remediation and permanent fixes.
• Conduct RCA and drive preventive measures to improve system stability.

Control-M Administration

• Administer and maintain BMC Control-M(v9.x), including installation, upgrades, agent deployment, policy configuration, and performance tuning.
• Redesign job dependencies, schedules, and alerts to improve batch reliability.
• Reduce batch failure rates through proactive monitoring and tuning.

Cloud, Automation & DevOps

• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3) to support application migration and onboarding.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, Rundeck, Octopus Deploy.
• Implement CI/CD integrations and reduce manual operational tasks through automation.
• Enhance monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, HPOMI.

Project Management & Delivery

• Drive application and infrastructure projects from requirement gathering to deployment and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor teams across regions.
• Facilitate release readiness, change execution, BCP/DR exercises, and environment validation.
• Manage third-party vendor onboarding, integration and technical coordination.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Create SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation for operations and audit readiness.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
