Application Engineer

Objectives of the position:

• Transferring knowledge to customers and employees

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Murrelektronik products, analyzing and creating suitable system solutions for customers to integrate our products and services into the customer's application.

Responsibilities:

• Provide full technical support to Sales Team and to customers’ design.

• Drive design in and product promotional activities in the region with Sales Team.

• Conduct regular external seminars, road shows, trade fares and training to customers and distributors.

• Drive internal lesson-learned and knowledge sharing across countries and with overseas team.

• Establish and further develop of the international network of employees in this area.

• Collaborate in the development of new business areas.

• Generate application notes, Key Selling Points lists and handle Quality Management issues.

• To liaise with Sales and Marketing team and give proper inputs on customer requirements and competition.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree related to Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering.

• 10 years relevant experience, preferably in Industrial Automation, Machine/Line Building, Intralogistics, Automotive or Semiconductor

• Knowledge of standard fieldbus systems and communication protocols on the market as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, IO-Link

• Knowledge of standard IoT communication protocols like MQTT, REST API and OPC UA

• Knowledge of application programs for common PLCs brands, like Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, etc.

• Project planning for systems and machines working with an ECAD system.

• Fundamental Product and Application Knowledge – Connectors, Sensors, Networks, Vision, Robotics and Safety will be an advantage.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Structural thinking in architectures is one of your strengths.

• You have a feel for consulting and understanding the customer's requirements

• Good communication and networking skills together with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders.
