Job summary

A leading organization in semiconductor machines is seeking a Senior/Application Engineer in Singapore. The role involves defining equipment process requirements, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting internal departments. Candidates should have a degree in relevant engineering fields and 1-5 years of experience in equipment manufacturing. Strong interest in new manufacturing processes is necessary, as well as knowledge in statistical techniques. This role may require overseas travel.

Job description

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines. They are currently seeking a Senior/ Application Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Define and Document Equipment process requirement and specification.
• Perform Process characterization to optimize critical process paths in order to meet equipment specification.
• Review, simplify and optimize Internal Buy Off specification for equipment together with Quality Assurance Department.
• Participate in continuous process improvement activities to enhance Equipment capability.
• Support Equipment manufacturing activities by helping to trouble-shoot and resolve process-related issues
• Support other internal departments to handle customers’ process related issues and recommend technical solutions
• Perform data analysis using statistical techniques and conduct process capability studies
• Transfer process knowledge to in house Engineers and Technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Equipment UPH projection calculation base on specific process parameter.

Requirements:

• Degree in Production / Mechanical / Material Science Engineering
• 1-5 years experience in an equipment manufacturing environment with a process engineering and background. Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for Senior Engineer
• Strong interest in the development of new manufacturing processes
• Experience in process design and control in the area of Die-Sorter process.
• Knowledge in Material Science will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in cycle time calculation.
• Trained in SPC, DOE and other statistical tools
• Able to travel overseas when required (duration is about a week)
