Job description

As an AI Engineer, you will develop core features for the AI Agent Experience platform, write clean and scalable code, and lead AI-focused product development across multimodal agent experiences. You will also support early incubation projects and drive improvements in engineering quality, technical standards, performance, and overall product experience.

About the Team

This team builds next-generation AI Agents for Zoom’s AI Companion. It also develops the platform and core capabilities that support these agents, including meeting summarization and advanced chat. The mission is to advance Zoom’s shift to an AI-first work platform with intuitive, reliable AI experiences.

What we’re looking for

• Show proficiency in frontend and backend technologies, with mastery of React, TypeScript, and server-side languages such as , Python, or Go.
• Demonstrate experience with database design and management (SQL or NoSQL) and designing scalable RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
• Show record of shipping AI-related products or features, including experience integrating LLMs, AI agents, or vector databases into production environments.
• Have understanding of e2e system architecture; ability to design modular UI components as well as robust server-side logic.
• Show familiarity with automated testing across the stack, including unit, integration, and end-to-end frameworks (, Jest, Cypress, Pytest, or Mocha).
• Have experience in developing or integrating AI-powered products, multimodal interfaces, or agent applications.
• Demonstrate proficiency using AI tools for coding (, Cursor) to improve development efficiency.
