Job Summary
We are seeking a Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to manage front desk reception, provide customer service, and support administrative tasks for daily operations, classes, programs, and events in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers and respond promptly to telephone enquiries to provide accurate information about classes, programs, and events
- Register and enroll students efficiently, ensuring accurate collection and processing of fees and payments
- Prepare and maintain class attendance lists and record student attendance accurately
- Maintain up-to-date student records, databases, and documentation with attention to detail
- Manage sales transactions for dancewear and accessories at the front counter
- Support scheduling, coordination, and logistics for classes, workshops, events, competitions, and performances to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate administrative tasks related to events and special programs, including onboarding and managing ad-hoc staff, volunteers, and interns as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and studio front to create a welcoming environment
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate daily operational needs and resolve issues promptly
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the academy’s functions
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience in reception, administration, or customer service to contribute to effective front desk operations
- Interest or experience in the arts or education sector to enhance engagement with the academy’s community
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently
- Organised, proactive and able to multitask
- Good personal presentation and telephone etiquette
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Other Information
Salary:
- Part‑Time: $13 – $15 per hour
- Full‑Time: $2,200 – $3,000 per month
- Weekend Allowance: $50 per day
CPF contributions and staff benefits provided opportunities to be involved in arts events, workshops, and performances.
Working Schedule (Important) - The following work hours are mandatory:
Part‑Time & Full‑Time
- Weekends: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 1:30pm – 9:30pm
Full‑Time Only
- Wednesday & Thursday: 1:30pm – 9:30pm
