Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore seeks an experienced accountant to manage financial operations. Responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, handling accounts operations, and supporting audits. Job description
Role Responsiblities:
  • Prepare full set monthly management account and related schedules timely.
  • Handle day-to-day account operations and month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and financial forecast.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST and other statutory tax matters.
  • Prepare monthly schedules and reports required for annual audit and tax purposes.
  • Maintain accurate project accounts, including monitoring project budgets, costs, and revenue recognition.
  • Work closely with project managers and QS teams to monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to facilitate audits and tax-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and internal controls.
  • Support process and system implementation projects; continuously streamline and automate tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Role Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting / construction / engineering industries.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost tracking and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Positive attitude with able to work independently under tight deadlines and well-organised.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with project teams.
