Job summary

A Singapore-based SME in metal work is seeking an experienced accountant to manage comprehensive accounting functions including daily entries, receivables, payables, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant experience and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are also essential. Job Summary

Manage comprehensive accounting functions including daily entries, receivables, payables, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance to support accurate financial management and business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Record daily accounting transactions to maintain accurate financial data for decision-making
  • Update accounts receivable by processing receipts, journal entries, reconciliations, and preparing statements to ensure timely collections
  • Verify vendor invoices and process accounts payable payments and journal entries to maintain supplier relationships and cash flow control
  • Prepare detailed financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually to inform management and stakeholders
  • Manage funds and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
  • Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaise effectively with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and compliance activities
  • Execute assigned ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties to support operational needs
Required competencies and certifications
  • Proficiency in SAP to accurately process accounting transactions and generate reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience handling full sets of accounts
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
