The Temporary Accountant will provide hands-on support to the Finance Team. This role encompasses a range of accounting and data management responsibilities, ensuring that financial and tax-related information is complete, accurate, and systematically organised to support compliance, reporting, and tax audit readiness.
Responsibilities
Data Management and Documentation
- Collate and organise financial and tax documents from internal systems and stakeholders.
- File and maintain documentation in SharePoint in a clear, logical, and easily retrievable structure.
- Ensure completeness and consistency of data for tax audit, liquidation, or compliance purposes.
Tax Support
- Compile and provide financial data to external tax advisors, including assisting in reconciliations and analysis of financial data for tax compliance, tax health checks or tax audit.
- Coordinate with tax agents to clarify documentation or queries.
- Support projects such as entity liquidation, tax health checks, or tax audit.
- Maintain proper records of tax filings, correspondences, and supporting documentation.
Stakeholder and Advisor Liaison
- Work closely with internal teams (Tax, Finance, Legal, Operations) to gather and verify required information.
- Liaise with external tax advisors on deliverables and deadlines.
- Track progress and provide regular status updates.
Other support
- Provide ad hoc support for finance and tax initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, or audit.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and basic tax principles.
- Logical, organised and systematic in handling and analysing available information/data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint (good to be familiar with Globe3 accounting software but not mandatory).
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
