Job description

We are a growing construction company seeking a detail-oriented andexperienced Accountant to manage our financial operations. Candidates with priorexperience in the construction industry will be highly preferred.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Handle full sets of accounts, including AR, AP, GL, and monthly/year-end closing
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts
• Manage project costing, progress claims, variation orders, and retention sums
• Monitor subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with contract terms
• Prepare and submit GST returns and ensure compliance with IRAS requirements
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis for construction projects
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure internal controls are adhered to

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Experience in a construction company is highly preferred
• Familiar with construction costing, progress billing, and retention accounting
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
