This is a full-time hybrid role for an Account Manager located in Singapore.
Reporting to the Head of Account Management, the Account Manager is responsible for retaining and supporting a portfolio of corporate and individual clients, working closely with our intermediary partners. This role requires handling the day-to-day servicing needs while also taking ownership of underwriting coordination, renewal negotiations, system implementations and payment follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for intermediaries, handling day-to-day requests and queries via email and phone.
- Ensure timely processing and management of renewals, meeting service level agreements.
- Work closely with the Business Development team to support the onboarding and implementation of new policies, including full documentation and invoicing.
- Coordinate and deliver joint client engagement sessions either virtually or onsite for renewed groups.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Claims, Finance, and Underwriting to resolve issues (if any) and ensure smooth servicing.
- Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and accurately.
- Coordinate and manage policy renewals, including negotiating renewal terms in collaboration with the underwriting team.
- Raise and follow up on system-related issues or enhancements with relevant departments.
- Provide first-level responses to intermediary queries, coordinating with internal stakeholders to follow through.
- Maintain accurate records and portfolio reporting to support internal tracking and ensure team targets are met.
- Assist with other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, and other requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of client/account management, preferably in the employee benefits industry
- Certificates in General Insurance and Health Insurance issued by Singapore College of Insurance
- Proficiency in Office 365 programs [e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel]
- Added advantage if familiar with Salesforce
- Able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
