Job summary

A leading specialty chemical company located in Singapore seeks an experienced account manager to oversee global and regional customer accounts. Responsibilities include developing account plans, growing and managing existing accounts, and providing strategic support. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of commercial experience in lubricants or related industries, possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to travel is required.

Purpose/Accountability Statement

Account management on global accounts and local first division accounts

Essential Functions

• Develop and execute Southeast Asia account plans for key global and regional customers
• Grow and manage existing accounts and prospects new growth initiative for the business
• Provide support and guidance to the global and regional business segment team to develop and implement sales and marketing programs and strategy so as to achieve the sales plan
• Establish in-depth relationships with customer organisations to keep abreast of the latest competitor activity and share market information
• Provide timely and accurately the call reports, sales forecast, customer plans
• Prepare and present reports on the assigned accounts to the senior business leaders periodically

Requirements – Education, Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• At least 5 years' commercial experience in lubricants, additives or related oil/chemical/OEM industry
• Independent, self-motivated, results-oriented, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Effectively bilingual an advantage
• Possess entrepreneur skills, a strong drive for results and creative thinking
• Travelling within the region is expected (30%)
