Job summary

Otis Saudi Arabia is seeking a Service Technician to perform planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs and preventive maintenance on elevator systems. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control faults and restore equipment safely and efficiently.

You will attend call-backs promptly, carry out fault finding and root-cause analysis, document activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures and client site rules.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors units with high call-back rates, recurring faults, or critical conditions, identifies underlying issues, and recommends actions.
  • Identifies and reports abnormalities, worn or defective components, safety concerns, and other deficiencies.
  • Proactively identifies T-Lead opportunities during maintenance visits, call-backs, troubleshooting, and inspections.
  • Provides clear technical findings and recommendations to support T-Lead generation and quotations.
  • Coordinates with Line Operators and support teams to ensure call-backs are attended within SLAs.
  • Maintains accurate documentation including timesheets, log cards, JHA, SVR sheets, and service records.
  • Ensures all maintenance and repair activities comply with OTIS procedures, WWJSSS requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Supports and guides junior mechanics during service activities.
  • Maintains professional communication with customers and explains technical findings to build confidence.
  • Reports accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and hazards to the Supervisor.

Role Overview

Performs planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs, and corrective maintenance, with the ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults and restore equipment safely and efficiently. Attends call-backs promptly, carries out systematic fault finding and root-cause analysis, completes necessary repairs, and takes appropriate corrective actions to reduce repeat call-backs and improve equipment reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors units with high call-back rates, recurring faults, or critical conditions, identifies the underlying issues, and recommends suitable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identifies and reports abnormalities, worn or defective components, missing parts, safety concerns, and other equipment deficiencies identified during PPM, call-backs, or routine inspections.
  • Proactively identifies T-Lead opportunities during maintenance visits, call-backs, troubleshooting, and inspections by recognizing requirements for repairs, replacement of defective or obsolete components, upgrades, and modernization.
  • Provides clear technical findings and recommendations to support T-Lead generation, quotations, and additional business opportunities, while ensuring that recommendations are based on actual equipment condition and customer requirements.
  • Coordinates with the Line Operators and relevant support teams to ensure call-backs are attended to within the defined service-level requirements.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets, log cards, maintenance JHA, OSA forms, SVR sheets, and other required service records.
  • Ensures all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities comply with OTIS safe working procedures, WWJSSS requirements, client site regulations, and required PPE standards.
  • Supports and guides junior mechanics during service and maintenance activities, helping improve their technical, troubleshooting, and safety skills.
  • Maintains professional communication with customers, explains technical findings appropriately, and helps build customer confidence through effective troubleshooting, reliable service, and value-added recommendations.
  • Immediately reports accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and other safety concerns to the Supervisor.
