Job summary
Nextera Energy seeks an experienced Senior Voice Technologies Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise voice and collaboration platforms across the organization. The role focuses on CUCM, CMS, Avaya voice solutions, and IP telephony to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
You will administer CUCM clusters, CMS environments, and Avaya solutions, while monitoring voice infrastructure and resolving complex VoIP issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Cisco and Avaya Voice Solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM, CMS, Voice Gateways, SIP Trunks, and Avaya Collaboration Platforms.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP, IP Telephony, SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, and call flows.
- Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support CUCM clusters, voice gateways, SIP trunks, and IP phones.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot CMS environments for video conferencing and collaboration.
- Support and maintain Avaya voice and meeting solutions, ensuring integration with Cisco platforms.
- Monitor voice infrastructure, servers, and related voice applications for performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot IP Telephony, VoIP, and Unified Communications issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, backups, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor call quality, performance, and service availability with health checks.
- Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure voice systems.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for voice incidents and service requests.
- Develop and maintain technical docs, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing.
