NextEra is seeking an experienced Senior Voice Technologies Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise voice and collaboration platforms across the organization. You will work with Cisco CUCM, CMS, and Avaya solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and security of voice services.

The role involves administering CUCM clusters, configuring CMS for video meetings, supporting Avaya integrations, and coordinating with network and security teams to maintain reliable voice

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or telecommunications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Avaya voice solutions.
  • Experience with Cisco CUCM, CMS, SIP trunks, and Avaya platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP, IP Telephony, QoS, and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Administer CUCM clusters, voice gateways, SIP trunks, and IP phones.
  • Configure and troubleshoot CMS environments for video conferencing.
  • Support Avaya voice and meeting solutions and integration with Cisco platforms.
  • Monitor voice infrastructure health and service availability.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Voice Technologies Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise voice and collaboration platforms across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Meeting Server, Avaya Voice Solutions, and IP Telephony environments. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of voice and collaboration services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters, voice gateways, SIP trunks, and IP phones.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) environments for enterprise video conferencing and collaboration services.
  • Support and maintain Avaya voice and meeting solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Cisco collaboration platforms.
  • Manage and monitor voice infrastructure, ANS servers, and related voice applications to ensure optimal performance and service availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IP Telephony, VoIP, and Unified Communications issues.
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, backups, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Monitor call quality, system performance, and service availability through proactive health checks and reporting.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure voice systems are secure, compliant, and optimized.
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for voice and collaboration incidents, problem management, and service requests.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives for voice and collaboration services.
  • Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco and Avaya Voice Solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco CUCM, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Voice Gateways, SIP Trunks, and Avaya Collaboration Platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP, IP Telephony, SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, and call flows.
  • Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, VLANs, and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
