Job summary

Penspen is seeking a senior mechanical engineering professional for technical oversight of EPC contractor deliverables related to static mechanical equipment in Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia. You will review calculations, datasheets, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with codes and project standards.

The ideal candidate has twelve years of experience, including at least six years in oil and gas or petrochemical projects, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of experience in mechanical engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• Six (6) years of experience in the field within major projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and review EPC contractor deliverables for static mechanical equipment.
• Review design calculations, datasheets, specifications for applicable codes (ASME, API, TEMA).
• Verify material selection, design thickness, and mechanical integrity; review vendor docs.
• Support field inspections, FATs, and mechanical completion activities; monitor progress.

Job Description

Provide technical oversight and review of EPC contractor deliverables related to static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns. Review design calculations, datasheets, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes (ASME, API, TEMA, and project standards). Verify material selection, design thickness, and mechanical integrity. Review vendor documentation and participate in technical bid evaluations and FATs. Monitor EPC contractor progress, assess deviations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Ensure that mechanical design meets safety, operability, and maintainability requirements. Support field inspections and mechanical completion activities. adherence and quality of deliverables

Required Experience Criteria In Years

Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Mechanical Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
