Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Saudi Arabia seeks a senior corrosion engineer to provide technical assurance and review EPC contractor deliverables related to materials and corrosion protection. You will evaluate corrosion control strategies, materials selection diagrams, painting and coating specifications, and cathodic protection design, and verify monitoring systems.

Twelve years of experience in corrosion engineering for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects is required, with a focus on asset integrity.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years in corrosion engineering for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• Asset integrity - corrosion is a must.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with corrosion/ materials/ metallurgic focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance and review EPC contractor deliverables related to corrosion control.
• Evaluate corrosion control strategies and materials selection diagrams (MSDs).
• Review painting and coating specifications and cathodic protection design.
• Review EPC contractor’s corrosion studies and ensure compliance with NACE, API, ISO.
• Participate in material selection workshops, vendor bid evaluations and design reviews.
• Support site inspections related to corrosion and coating application.
• Verify proper implementation of corrosion monitoring systems and documentation.
• Provide recommendations to enhance material integrity and lifecycle performance of project facilities.
