Job summary

Penspen is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer for Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia, to oversee I&C deliverables for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects. You will review datasheets, I/O lists, and loop diagrams, ensuring DCS, ESD, and F&G integration meets standards and operability requirements.

In this role, you will assess vendor submittals, FAT procedures, and deviations, participate in design reviews, and support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities while

Qualifications

• Twelve years of experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects required.
• Six years of experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering for major projects required.
• DCS experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrumentation and control deliverables developed by the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards.
• Review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams and control logic narratives.
• Validate integration between control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) and field instruments.
• Evaluate vendor submittals, FAT procedures and technical deviations.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure operability and maintainability of control systems.
• Support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities.
• Provide assurance of compliance with project HSE and control system standards.

Job Description

Evaluate vendor submittals, FAT procedures, and technical deviations. Participate in design reviews and ensure operability and maintainability of control systems. Support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities. Provide assurance of compliance with project HSE and control system standards.

Required Experience Criteria In Years

Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects. DCS experience required.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
