The role will connect public transport operations, road traffic management, autonomous systems, parking, active mobility, event planning, digital technologies, asset management, and financial recovery into an integrated mobility framework. Its purpose is to increase network capacity and reliability while reducing congestion, improving safety, supporting sustainable transport choices, and ensuring new mobility infrastructure is fully ready for live operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations and strategic development of the city 's multimodal transportation network.
• Establish operating strategies for buses, rail or monorail services, autonomous transit, shared mobility, and supporting transport services.
• Oversee transit timetables, service frequencies, fleet deployment, route performance, and capacity planning.
• Monitor transport demand and adjust service strategies to match changing residential, commercial, tourism, and event requirements.
• Develop integrated mobility plans connecting major destinations, communities, entertainment districts, transport hubs, and parking assets.
• Lead planning and operational governance of autonomous shuttle corridors and future automated transit services.
• Establish performance requirements for micro-mobility services including shared bicycles and scooters.
• Direct development of pedestrian and cycling networks that provide safe connections between key destinations.
• Integrate active mobility with public transport stations, car parks, attractions, and community facilities.
• Monitor accessibility, network continuity, safety, and utilization of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.
• Lead transportation planning for major events and exceptional visitor demand.
• Develop event traffic management, crowd dispersal, park-and-ride, transit surge, and temporary routing strategies.
• Coordinate transport resources to manage large fluctuations in visitor volumes.

• Coordinate mobility revenue and cost data with corporate Finance teams.
• Support automated cost allocation and recovery models for transport services.
• Provide audited mobility usage and infrastructure-wear data for service charge calculations.

• Collaborate with Asset Lifecycle Planning teams on long-term mobility asset replacement strategies.
• Develop Capital Asset Replacement Plans for transit fleets, traffic signals, charging systems, stations, ITS infrastructure, and related technology assets.
• Evaluate vehicle and infrastructure replacement requirements using condition, utilization, reliability, and lifecycle cost information.
• Align mobility CAPEX and OPEX requirements with long-term operational plans.
• Coordinate with SAP Enterprise Asset Management teams to maintain reliable digital records for mobility assets.
• Ensure vehicles, stations, charging points, traffic sensors, and roadside equipment are assigned accurate digital asset identities.
• Support predictive maintenance by ensuring operating and condition data is captured consistently.
• Integrate fleet telematics with maintenance and asset management processes.
• Monitor mobility asset reliability and establish appropriate technical and operational KPIs.
• Serve as the senior mobility authority during Stage-Gate handover and operational vesting.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Design, Traffic Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Master 's degree in Transportation Engineering, Smart Mobility, Urban Planning, or an MBA is highly preferred.
• Minimum 25 years of progressive leadership experience in multimodal urban transportation, traffic engineering, transit planning, or smart city mobility operations.
• At least 8 years of experience in a senior executive, director, or equivalent leadership position.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary transportation organizations and specialist operating teams.
• Strong record of managing major transport OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Demonstrated experience establishing or operating major multimodal transport networks.
• Significant exposure to public transport operations, routing, scheduling, and fleet management.
• Experience with autonomous mobility, smart transit, or advanced mobility pilots is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of pedestrian, cycling, and micro-mobility planning.
• Proven experience with event transportation and high-volume visitor movement strategies.
• Strong technical background in urban traffic operations and congestion management.
