Job summary

A leading consultancy firm based in Riyadh is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support cost management and contract administration for the KAFD project. The successful candidate will prepare BOQs, monitor costs, evaluate contractor payments, and ensure financial compliance throughout the project lifecycle. A Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or Civil Engineering, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience, is required. Fluency in Arabic is essential, and proficiency in QS tools is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consultancy-based QS roles.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost control processes.

Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will support cost management and contract administration activities for the KAFD project. The role includes preparing BOQs, monitoring project costs, evaluating contractor payments, and ensuring financial and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Evaluate contractor payment applications, variations, and change orders.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Review contract documents and identify financial or contractual risks.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and design teams to resolve commercial issues.
  • Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and contract documentation.
  • Participate in negotiations to ensure optimal value and cost efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in consultancy-based QS roles.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects (KAFD experience is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, and cost control processes.
  • Proficiency in QS tools (Excel, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent reporting, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required; English is an advantage.
