Job Description

This is a senior-level position for a highly experienced Structural Geologist specializing in mining and infrastructure projects. The Principal Structural Geologist will provide strategic technical leadership in structural geology, geohazard assessment, and geological modeling. The role is pivotal in supporting safe, efficient, and future-ready project delivery, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s transformative mining sector growth.

Key Responsibilities

A senior leadership position that combines business development and project delivery for major mining programs. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to closure.

Serve as the company's subject matter expert on structural geology. Lead and provide guidance on the application and integration of structural geology across all projects, including greenfield exploration and brownfield mine sites.

Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, shaping strategic initiatives, and fostering an entrepreneurial approach to execution.

Lead advanced structural geology studies, including fault system analysis, lineament mapping, and 3D geological modeling. Conduct advanced structural analysis and 3D modeling to interpret complex geological processes, rock formations, and ore deposit controls. Integrate structural interpretations with geophysical, geochemical, and geotechnical data to build robust and predictive geological models.

Maintain and develop methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for structural data collection, from core orientation quality control to detailed structural analysis of drill core, underground mapping, and surface mapping.

Provide expert advice to senior management on exploration strategies, project risk assessments, and resource estimation based on a thorough understanding of structural controls.

Oversee geohazard assessments, slope stability modeling, and pit wall engineering for mine development and infrastructure projects.

Provide expert input to technical proposals, stakeholder presentations, and client workshops.

Mentor and upskill junior geologists, promoting technical excellence and best practices.

Collaborate with geotechnical, geophysical, and engineering teams to deliver integrated consulting solutions.

Support business development through technical differentiation and authoritative client engagement.

Drive innovation in geological modeling, risk mitigation, and project delivery processes.

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in structural geology, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal consulting role.

Experience in mineral exploration and mining, with significant field and structural modeling experience required. Experience in multiple geological terrains and commodities is preferred.

Expert-level proficiency with geological and 3D modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, GOCAD, MOVE) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
