Career Nest Academy is seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef for an upscale Al Khobar pastry kitchen. You will support the Head Pastry Chef, oversee daily pastry production from viennoiserie to plated desserts, and lead the team when needed.

We value precise, creative, and cost-aware professionals with strong English; French language skills are a plus. The role emphasizes quality, consistency, and pastry excellence in a fine dining context.

Formación

• 3–5 years of dedicated pastry experience, with 2–3 years as a Chef de Partie Pastry or senior pastry cook in fine dining or upscale settings.
• English fluency is mandatory; French or another European language is advantageous.
• Knowledge of viennoiserie, doughs, creams, chocolate work, fillings, and strict shelf life controls.

Responsabilidades

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and presentation.
• Mentor and develop the pastry team; lead the section in the Head Pastry Chef's absence.
• Plan daily production; monitor shelf life; enforce FIFO and labeling standards; manage freezing/defrosting.
• Ensure items meet taste, texture, and visual standards; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Monitor stock levels, manage portion controls, and minimize waste while preserving premium quality.
