Job summary

The Career Nest is seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. You will support the Head Pastry Chef, oversee daily pastry production—from viennoiserie to plated desserts—and lead the team when required to uphold best-in-class quality.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in pastry, strong expertise in pastry techniques, and a precise, cost-conscious approach. English fluency is mandatory; French or another European language is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated pastry experience.
• 2–3 years as Chef de Partie Pastry or senior pastry cook in fine dining.
• Strong knowledge of viennoiserie, doughs, creams, chocolate work, and fillings.
• Understanding of shelf life, storage protocols, and allergen controls.
• Fluency in English mandatory; French or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and presentation.
• Lead and mentor the pastry team; step up to lead in Head Pastry Chef's absence.
• Plan daily production, monitor shelf life, and enforce FIFO and labeling standards.
• Maintain hygiene, quality, and workspace safety while ensuring cost controls.
