Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist based in Jeddah to train healthcare professionals on Cataract and Refractive Surgical Device products and provide on-site or remote support across the Middle East. The role requires a clinical background in ophthalmology, strong English and Arabic communication, and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic, including written and verbal communication.
• Solid clinical background in ophthalmology and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and clinical training, education, and on-site or remote support to surgeons and OR staff on Alcon device use.
• Respond to customer inquiries with scientific and technical information; refer questions on unapproved use as per protocol.
• Ensure successful implementation of equipment and software upgrades and support new installations and troubleshooting with Field Service Engineers.
• Document site visits using reporting tools and report adverse events to Medical Safety.
• Collaborate with management and Medical Safety for root cause analysis of adverse events; provide physician feedback as needed.
