Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a broad range of ocular conditions.
• Perform advanced ophthalmic surgeries including cataract, glaucoma, corneal, and retinal procedures based on subspecialty.
• Manage acute and chronic eye diseases using evidence-based treatment plans.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and ultrasound.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
• Mentor junior doctors, residents, and allied healthcare staff.
