Expertise in managing competitive proposals and budgets, along with strong skills in negotiation and quantity surveying, are essential. Proficiency in software like Primavera and AutoCAD is also necessary.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in tendering and estimation, particularly in residential construction projects.
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) from AACE International or a similar certification is a plus.
  • Strong experience with quantity surveying and cost control software in the construction industry.
  • On-site construction work experience and solid knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.

As a Cost Estimate and Tendering Department Manager, you will oversee the tendering, cost estimation, and procurement processes for mega construction projects. This role involves ensuring the preparation of competitive proposals, accurate budgets, and compliance with project requirements. Success requires expertise in technical and commercial proposal preparation, supplier coordination, and strong leadership in managing tender documentation and cost control.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage the proposal creation process for tenders, ensuring competitive and timely submissions.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of project activities and establish strong relationships with global suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Handle procurement, cost estimation, and quantity surveying for all tender activities.
  • Take charge of procurement packages for mega project tenders within the department.
  • Prepare, manage, and review estimation and tender budgets, covering direct and indirect costs.
  • Review requests for quotation packages and ensure alignment with the nature of each tender before contacting suppliers or subcontractors.
  • Ensure the final budget complies with project documents or lists deviations for management review and approval.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including supplier and subcontractor lists, project schedules, and method statements.
  • Assist in transitioning project budget documents to operations or cost control teams upon project award.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Contracts, and Technical Office teams to ensure seamless tendering processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Arch Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience in tendering and estimation, particularly in residential construction projects.
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) from AACE International or a similar certification is a plus.
  • Strong experience with quantity surveying and cost control software in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
