Job summary

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. is seeking a Vendor Management Specialist in Portugal (Lisbon region) to lead day-to-day vendor activities and governance across procurement and services.

The role reports to the Service Manager in Portugal and emphasizes risk monitoring, performance KPIs, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional relationships with internal teams and external service providers, ensuring quality and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Operations support, Manages Services or related functions.
• Demonstrated experience in working with Service Providers and Third-Party Vendors.
• Familiarity with Contract Management and Supplier Governance processes.
• Experience managing a team within a BPO environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day vendor management activities across operational teams, ensuring SLAs/KPIs.
• Monitor, identify and report operational risks to the Service Manager.
• Monitor continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization activities.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with procedures and governance standards.
• Provide transparent reporting, insights, and recommendations to the Service Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive service excellence and customer satisfaction.
