Are you a strategic, creative and results-driven marcomms leader? Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and deliver innovative strategies for Auckland’s most exciting events and experiences with a focus on the city centre.

You’re a collaborative, innovative marketing and communications professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for making a difference. You excel at building relationships and are expert in managing marketing, communications and digital projects. With a passion for turning insights into impactful campaigns, you’re adaptable and results-focused and love working with diverse teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Your Impact
  • Lead integrated marcomms campaigns for a dynamic portfolio—including city centre, events, experiences, visitor attraction and more.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and optimise results.
  • Champion research and insights to position Auckland and its brand for success.
  • Manage budgets, campaigns and partnerships to deliver and report on best-in-class outcomes.
  • Collaborate across and beyond the Auckland Council Group to provide a fully integrated marketing and communications offering.
You’ll bring
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or public relations and/or 7+ years’ experience in marketing or publicity/communications.
  • A strategic, analytical and creative approach with proven ability to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Skills in project planning, financial management and building strong relationships.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, creative software and collaboration platforms like Asana.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
